Vista thoughts

For the past few days, I've been happily using Windows Vista, and I gotta say I love it! My most favorite feature? the search capabilities. Instead of going through tons of entries in the start menu, I can just search for a particular file, program, or control panel setting.

So far, I had one BSOD, but that was after I installed Real Alternative Player, which I removed.

I can't really comment on anything else because I've been using my computer just to surf the internet and watch movies.

It came, I installed, I'm happy

First off, I like to thank Newegg.com and UPS for their fast service - especially UPS. They delivered my package a day early!

Second, I'm now rocking with 3gb of RAM! You know what that means: WINDOWS VISTA!

Status: Shipped - Your order has shipped.

So I decided to just jump on the bandwagon and upgrade to Vista, but I'm doing it 'right' - I ordered 2gb of RAM (bumping my total to 3gb), Vista Home Premium with SP1, and adding a 400gb Hard drive so I can tri-boot Vista, XP, and Ubuntu (I always wanted to install Linux on the hard drive) - all from the best tech part site: Newegg.com!

The thing is that I ordered it not even 24 hours ago, and the website said its already shipped.

I'm hoping for a Friday or Saturday arrival, so I'll be knee deep in upgrading my computer.

My name is adrian, and I have a problem.

They say denial is the first step in a problem. Well, I have a problem, and I've been denying it for a long time.

I'm a diabetic.

Yes, my inability to exercise daily, eat whatever I can buy (mostly junk food, fast food and plate lunches) and sitting infront of either the computer or TV for hours on end is finally catching up to me.

I've been denying this probably because of my work, but in reality, I see myself taking all of these medications, and since I see older people taking those medications (in nursing homes) when I went to nusring school, I feel that I'm losing my independence. However, if I don't start shaping up and taking my medications, and eating the right foods, I might end up in those people when I can't move around.

So, if you're reading this, please help me by encouraging me. If you don't see me posting any updates on my health, please email me: adelossa (at) gmailminusthispart dot com.

Don't stop me now

Today at work, I repaired five computers that came in today. The past couple of days, we were caught up with the computers, so for the first hour, I was just surfing the interweb. Then, bam, 3 computers came in a few minutes apart of each other. Luckily, they were simple stuff, so I finished about five of the seven computers that came in.

Yeah, I'm happy.
